In 2020, our walls will be dressed not with one, but with several pretty frames.
Before you start buying or even installing them, it is necessary to choose the wall on which you want to create your composition of decorative frames and photos. Try to avoid walls that are too narrow because your decor may seem overloaded. Instead, bet on large bright spaces or rooms with high ceilings to create an original wall decoration.
If your room is already very busy (lots of furniture, shelves, patterned rugs, etc.), a wall of picture frames is not going to help matters… unless that’s the mood you are looking for.
First, place your frames on the ground :
Based on your wall space demarcation, test the floor before attaching your frames. Here are some sample layouts :
- In a circle :
Form a circle with frames of different sizes and materials
- In horizontal line :
Draw a line and center your frames on the height
- Stepped :
Follow the rise of your staircase with the same spacing between the frames.
A little practical advice: in order to make the frames stand out as well as possible, we advise you to contrast the background color with that used for the frames.
